  The AG-DTL1 time-lapse VTR uses the professional digital DVCPRO format to record high quality images onto a standard S-VHS tape, making this recorder reliable and cost effective. The DVCPRO format delivers superior frame by frame picture quality with 520 line resolution. In addition, DVCPRO uses intra-frame compression, not inter-frame compression, resulting in zero image degradation when images are output as single-frame units. To keep running costs down, Panasonic designed the AG-DTL1 to use inexpensive S-VHS tape to record high quality digital video. The unit features a recording capacity that ranges from 3 to 960 hours and produces a horizontal resolution of 520 lines utilizing "Broadcast-type" DV compression recording. Panasonic's industry proven IQ (Intelligent Quest) Mechanism is incorporated in the AG-DTL1 to provide smooth tape transport and stability. A built-in multiplexer accommodates up to 16 inputs to provide versatile systems operations on any scale.
